Sorobon Nudist Resort Bonaire - Great diving!

We all will miss Sorobon as it goes textile.  But, the owners have decide that there will be a month that it will convert back to a nude resort.  Here is the information that we have recieved in the office.

17th of December 2010,

New owners now decided, Sorobon will be naturist between September 3rd and September 30th 2011.

Hedonism II and the Storm

We have received the following information from Hedonism II about the aftermath of the storm.
"We never lost our beach and we never stopped accepting guests. We rerouted some guests for one night and we have some parts of our dining room that has leaked."

I thought I would share this with you.  This was a email I recived from Barnett Bailey, Go Classy Tours COO.

"What Great turn out of friends and clients of Go Classy Tours, Inc. Many who have been to Hedonism II over 50 times and a few who have been close to 100 times. Folks came from Chicago, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Nova Scotia, Toronto, London, Scotland, Texas, and Maine, all for fun in the sun with Hedo friends. The weather was perfect and sunny just like in Negril. I guess that is why so many call Negril their second home… Friday began the festivities and Saturday was the main event with Winston, the activities Coordinator for Hedonism II coming all the way from Jamaica just for this event. Winston was right in form with his games and give away prizes for “Dirty Minds”, “Dirty Bananas”, “How to Drink Beer Laying Down”, and “Hedo Trivia”.

 Sandy Hook, ..... imagine Hedonism II’s beach full but 12 to 13 times the crowd. I was very proud when folks came up to me to thank me for the service and even more thankful seeing our clients telling people who have not been, about Hedonism II and that they should book through Go Classy.  As they say at Hedo “Welcome Home”.

From Negril Beach Village to Hedonism II and the Naked Truth

I have posted this before, but I thought it was worth repeating.
History of Negril and Hedonism II

Below is a excert from the Lonely Planet about Negril. Hard to believe that Hedonism II has been open that long. We have clients that have been to the resort over 100 times as well as the original owners of Go Classy Tours.

From the LONEY PLANET

Only in 1959 was a road cut to Negril, launching the development of what was then a tiny fishing village. Electricity and telephones came later. The sleepy beachfront village soon became a popular holiday spot for Jamaicans. About the same time, hippies and backpackers from abroad began to appear. They roomed with local families or slept on the beach, partook of ganja and magic mushrooms, and generally gave Negril its laid-back reputation. In 1977 the first major resort – Negril Beach Village (later renamed Hedonism II) – opened its doors to a relatively affluent crowd seeking an uninhibited Club Med–style vacation. Tales of Hedonism’s toga parties and midnight nude volleyball games helped launch Negril to fame. By the mid-1980s Negril was in the throes of a full-scale tourism boom that continues today. (The early days of tourism in Negril are regaled in Banana Shout, a humorous novel by local hotelier Mark Conklin concerning the escapades of an American draft dodger who moves to Negril.)
